R. L. Stine

R. L. Stine is an American author best known as the author of the blockbuster children’s horror novella series “Goosebumps.” In addition to the hundreds of books he has written under the “Goosebumps” series, he has also written for the novella series “Space Cadets,” “Fear Street,” “Mostly Ghostly,” “ Rotten School,” and “The Nightmare Room,” in addition to stand-alone novels and short-story anthologies. Stine has been recognized as a major force in promoting children’s literacy.

R. L. Stine’s books have collectively sold over 400 million copies worldwide. The newspaper USA Today named him “America’s number one best-selling author” for three years in a row, and he is widely compared as the juvenile fiction equivalent of horror novelist Stephen King. He is a three-time winner of the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards and the Disney Adventures Kids’ Choice Awards. The Guinness Book of World Records lists R. L. Stine as “the best-selling children’s book series author of all time.” His works have also spawned numerous TV and film franchises.
